Motivating Nurses through Nurse Excellence Award Program

Collaborating Against Poverty (CAP) Liberia, through her “Nurse Excellence Award Program”, has established partnership with the administration of the James Davis and Son Memorial Hospital in Neezoe, Paynesville City, Liberia to motivate nurses for outstanding services.

The James N. Davis, Jr. Memorial Hospital (JDJ) which was previously operated by Medicines Sans Frontieres (MSF), catering to health emergency needs of women and children, but is now being run by the Government of Liberia receives hundreds of emergency cases of women and Children from all parts of Liberia.

Nurses, who are at the forefront providing supports and managing emergencies often feel burnout due to heavy workload and need to be motivated to keep rendering such invaluable services.

Our program enhances and foster better relationships between nurses and patients through various motivational initiatives and award programs. Through our Nurse Excellence Award Program, CAP recognizes and celebrates the achievements of nurses by honoring those who have demonstrated clinical excellence, high levels of patient satisfaction, outstanding leadership, and community service (Nurse Excellence Award Project in Montserrado County, Liberia – Collaborating Against Poverty (cap-liberia.org)).

Exceptional nurses who provide outstanding care to patients were recognized and rewarded in various healthcare facilities throughout the county. These remarkable individuals received not only accolades such as beautiful sculptures, honoree pins, and certificates, but also international recognition for their remarkable achievements.
